GreCo Power & Energy Limited was formed in 2012. The company’s main aim is to provide alternative power and energy solutions to the private and public sector of the Nigerian economy. With this, we aim to achieve an overall savings on operations by reducing the dependence on fossil fuel based electric power generation.
Meet Our Team
Tunde Isiolaotan
MD/CEO
Olatunde Isiolaotan (MD) is a seasoned Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency expert with over eight years experience. During this time, Tunde has been involved in the construction of power plants, development of a nationally recognized curriculum for Nigeria’s clean energy sector as well as implementation of energy efficient low cost housing. A EUREC alumni, he possesses a Master’s degree in RE with focus on hybrid systems from Loughborough University, UK. Tunde honed his skills as a mini-grid hybrid systems specialist at the Fraunhofer Institute IWES, University of Kassel, Germany.
He was also the Principal Expert, RE Capacity Development at NESP 2017, where he developed vocational training for Sub-Saharan Africa’s clean energy sector, working with GOPA worldwide consultants GmbH.
His journey in the power sector has seen him gather experience in power plant construction, solar equipment sales and curriculum development.
Tunde has provided strategic leadership for GreCo Power & Energy Ltd since
June 2013.
Simi Olaiya
OPERATIONS MANAGER
He is currently the Managing Director of GreCo Academy and has worked with the team on developing the course structure and building of the online platform. Simi is a seasoned operations professional who cut his teeth in the hectic hospitality sector in Cyprus. Starting as an intern, his organizational ability and his ability to think on his feet saw him rise quickly to the position of operations manager at a 5-Star hotel.
Simi Olaiya Is a management professional with a Bachelor's degree in aviation management from Girne American University. He is also a certified Digital Marketing professional, using his background in the field to improve GreCo Academy’s online presence and overall brand image. He has led research teams conducting pre-feasibility studies for commercial and industrial manufacturers identifying viable captive power projects in Nigeria.
Simi’s extensive experience leading multi-ethnic teams to achieve strategic objectives remains an invaluable asset to GreCo.
Ter Wada
CONSULTANT
Terhamba Wada (CFO) is a CIMA Certified Business Accountant with over 10 years of experience of working with private sector and non-governmental organizations on the design and implementation of performance monitoring, sales and cost cutting strategies. He has also been involved in delivering international development interventions in Sub- Saharan Africa, in both the power and extractives sectors. His most recent work with Greco Power and Energy has centered on financial modeling for Solar PV mini-grids and Solar/Diesel Hybrid systems for deployment across Sub-Saharan Africa.
He successfully negotiated a cost sharing deal for the launch of the Gas Flare Tracker (http://gasflaretracker.ng) with the Sub-Saharan African Federal Ministry of Environment, a first for DFID in Sub-Saharan Africa.
He has also been involved in the NIAF/DFID program reviewing post-privatization business plans and developing frameworks for the Bureau of Public Enterprises. He also worked on monetizing the energy losses at the distribution end of the supply chain enabling better identification of bottlenecks for each DisCo and the development of the framework for a fir Transition Energy Market (TEM).
